Shipping and Delivery Costs
Please note that we have limited stock of books on hand. Most products are ordered from their respective publishers on demand, which can take from 7 days to 5 weeks (depending on where in the world the book is published). If there is a note alongside a product that clearly states that we have the item in stock, we are able to ship within 24 hours of receiving your order. Please note the delivery time specified against each book that you order so that you can estimate the approximate period that you will have to wait for delivery.
What happens once my book arrives at Red Pepper Books' offices in South Africa after I've ordered it?
South African Customers
Once your books arrive at our offices, you have the option of having your book posted to you at a cost of R25.00 per book within South Africa, or sent overnight to your closest post office at a cost of R75.00 per book (also within South Africa). You are also more than welcome to collect your books, either personally or using your nominated courier company (UPS/ Fedex/ DHL etc.) from our offices in Ruimsig (Roodepoort) in Gauteng, South Africa. For this, we do not charge! It is just up to you to make the arrangements to collect.

Shipping to any postal address within South Africa is FREE if your order totals more than R375. Please note that this is regular domestic postage via the South African Post Office and does not apply to orders requiring overnight delivery. Books sent to you using the Free Postage method can take up to 10 days to reach you.
Company, Academic, Government and Institutional LIBRARIES in South Africa
Once your books are delivered to our offices, they are delivered where possible at no extra charge. In order to become a pre-approved customer, you would need to purchase books from Red Pepper Books on behalf of your academic, corporate or government library in Southern Africa. International customers
Orders from Red Pepper Books customers living outside South Africa's borders are despatched via airmail. This option and the costs will reflect when you place your order on our site. Customers do however have the option of arranging for a courier company such as UPS, DHL or Fedex to collect your book (s) from our offices and forwarding them on to you. You can select this option when you check out. This cost would then be for your own account, and all arrangements would need to be made by the customer with our Customer Care team and your nominated courier company once your order has been placed.
